M - fits someone from 150-155cm tall
Made in the 1970’s and never used, this is a fine quality Nemaki and Cotton Terry bathrobe set produced by renown futon maker Nishikawa Sangyo.
Both items are made of 100% cotton and the nemaki has a gauze lining. This is an all-season type used by guests at inns, hotels and hot spring resorts all over Japan.
This item is unsued but was a stored for a number of years so the packaging may show shelf-wear or otherwise not be perfect. The bathrobe looks perfect but note that the nemaki has a few brownish spots that are commenly caused by long storage in Japan

Nemaki are usually made in traditional geometric or floral patterns. Most wrap and tie with the sash at the waist like a
bathrobe
. In Japan, hotel guests sleep in them but also wear them around the hotel and even in the streets of Onsen hot sping resorts

It goes without saying that they will be shorter on some people than on others and the sleeves longer on some people than others but in Japan, that is normally of no concern (the same goes for traditional footwear).
