This is a photo of Kyoto’s famous Kintakedo Kanzashi shop in the heart of the Gion Kobu Geisha district.

Hana-Kanzashi Hair Ornament
This is a real Kyoto Maiko Silk Hana Kanzashi, hand made by Kyoto’s Iconic Kintakedo, which is a kanzashi maker with a long history of catering to Geiko in the heart of the Gion Kobu Geisha
district.
It is a lovely
kanzashi depicting a red “Tombo” dragonfly alighting on spring leaves and budding flowers
. It has a long fork for attaching it in the hair.
This listing is for someone who wants a real one of the finest quality!
It was purchased from Kintakedo about 15 years ago and stored but never used and is in perfect condition with no issues of any kind.
Beautifully hand made of silk silk.
It measures: a full
16cm (6") in length overall.
Made In Japan

Note that due to reduced flights, JAPAN POST has suspended Air Parcel service to the USA, Australia and a few other countries (Europe is not effected). It is not known how long this will last but in the meantime, we are using JAPAN POST SURFACE mail which has tracking and insurance but can take about 60 days to the USA.
Alternatively, for an additional charge, YAMATO INTERNATIONAL offers extremely fast door to door service for a flat-rate for their various size boxes. The smallest “60cm” box is to most countries, can hold up to two kg and measures 27 X 19 X 19cm and arrives in about a week.
Note that as these measures are temporary, we can not change the existing rates for all of our hundreds of listings but will notify you immediately if it effects your purchase.
