Vintage Japanese Kimono Black Silk Jacquard Haori Book Patterns

Description

Offered is a Vintage Japanese Haori Jacket  from Japan.  The robe is in very good condition and appears never worn.  The  Haori is black silk jacquard with many different woven patterns within the brocade.  The book images are in shades of rust and blue and are also woven into the fabric.  The sleeves are longer and narrower than a standard Haori.  They measure 10" long at the body, are 17" in length and taper to 8.5" at the end.
Haori do not cross over and tie like a kimono.  They are designed to be worn loose and open at the front.
Material -  Black Silk with a black brocade pattern, white silk lining with pink and gold calligraphy pages;
Condition - Very good, no evidence of wear, appears never worn;
Lining - Has a partial lining, white silk with pink and gold calligraphy pages.
Approximate Measurements:
Length - Measured from the back of the collar to the hem 31"
Sleeve - 17" length, tapers from 10" at body to 8.5" at end;
Width  - Measure from sleeve end to opposite sleeve end 56"
Pit to pit across the back - 22"  (approx. 44" around)
