type used for formal occasions but can be worn with bright colors in modern kitsuke. It would be striking with a red kimono!
This set is in perfect condition. The obijime is round-woven with large tassels and the obiage has a beautiful floral pattern woven into the silk - it could also be used as a scarf. This set was probably made in the 1980’s. It is of fine quality.
The Obiage measures: 148 X 24cm or 58” X 9½"

This is from a huge lot of vintage Japanese items that we have
acquired. They were stock from a shop in Kyoto that sold kimono accessories…
Most were produced in Japan in the 1970’s or 1980’s. This was before such items were made in other Asian countries as they usually are now.
