This is one of a huge lot of vintage Japanese bags that we have
acquired. Most were made in the 1960-70’s… when items like this were still made in Japan...
This would be a lovely little purse to keep in your handbag for use when wearing a kimono
but could also be used for everyday.
It is made of brocade fabric in a traditional floral design
. It has brass trim, a sturdy fastener and is fully lined with a divider to create two compartments.
It is in excellent condition with no apparent signs of use.

Note that due to reduced flights, JAPAN POST has suspended Air Parcel service to the USA, Australia and a few other countries (Europe is not effected). It is not known how long this will last but in the meantime, we are using JAPAN POST SURFACE mail which has tracking and insurance but can take about 60 days to the USA.
Alternatively, for an additional charge, YAMATO INTERNATIONAL offers extremely fast door to door service for a flat-rate for their various size boxes. The smallest “60cm” box is to most countries, can hold up to two kg and measures 27 X 19 X 19cm and arrives in about a week.
