    Description

    For Sale:
    A vintage General Electric Model CX5A Meter Anayzer unit.  This was designed to snap into a rack mount opening sized appropriately, most probably a military unit.  While being around 17 inches wide and about 4 inches high, it is only 3 inches deep and is portable.  It only needs two D cell batteries.  The old ones are included and should be changed immediately.
    The unit has a full VOM meter with AC & DC Volts, DC MA, DB, and an Ohms scale.  The RF MA meter is low current with scales 250, 500 and 1000 RF Ma. For working with QRP or homebrew diy exciter applications, this meter could come in very handy.
    Please do not consider this plug-n-play.  We believe it is serviceable and should be reuseable in the right hands.  We have been unable to find a schematic or manual.  The components are old school analogue, laid out nicely and easily accessible.
    Condition:
    Estate Item in good physical condition.  Works but VOM readings very low on its old batteries and only obtainable on the high OHM scale indicating it needed fresh batterie.  May or may not require repair but should be serviced and given due diligence.  We did not have fresh D cells to use.  Battery holders need cleaning as we had to roll the old batteries to get contact.  Analogue and easy access circuitry, should be straightforward for anyone with old school skills..  Very pretty and very desirable in this condition.  This is sold strictly as is.  If you do not have electronic repair skills, please avoid this unit.  It will best serve a practicing technician.
