    Description

    Almost square fukusa or ceremonial cloth with design of a takarabune treasure ship loaded up with treasures, sailing before an island in the sky with pine trees, pavilions and cranes flying above it. Embroidered on a greenish gray ribbed cloth in gold thread, and back, white, red, green and purple silk. Back embroidered with tachibana family crest in gold thread. Green tassel, three tassels missing.
    Japan, probably Taisho or Showa era, 1920s-1940s.
