Naturally Holey Beach Stone, Coquinoid Sandstone
Surf-tumbled by the tides and time.
Wild caught by me along the shores of the Treasure Coast.
The stone is roughly heart shaped and measures 1 3/4” x 2 1/2” x 3/8” thick.
The size of the holes easily accommodates the 20 gage wire.
It is shades of grey from light to dark. There are areas of ivory with peach on one side. These could be shell fragment imbeds.
The size allows for easy gripping to see through the hole
without any infringement. It holds nicely in your hand...the entire
stone is worn. No sharp edges.

or Adder Stone or Holey Stone and
has quite a bit of lore and many magical properties associated
with them.  Part of the folklore is that if you look through the holes
you can see fairies.
