Naturally Holey Beach Stone, Coquinoid Sandstone
Tumbled by the tides and time.
Collected by me along the shores of the Treasure Coast.
This stone is approximately 7/8" x 1" x 3/8" thick.
The hole accomodates the 20 gage wire. This oblong hole is about 1/8” long.
It is mottled grey.
It is a smooth, with some waviness to the stone, and the edges are rounded.
The stone in the photos is the one you will receive.
Hag stones have occupied myth and magic folklore for centuries.

Hag stones are stones that have a naturally
occurring hole inside them. These stones are often
found along the
coastal points, beaches, and streams. These holes occur from the elements
beating down upon them over many years.  There are also speculations that
these mysterious
stones may have been formed by a “worm hole”. A Hag

or Adder Stone or Holey Stone and
has quite a bit of lore and many magical properties associated
with them.
Part of the folklore is that if you look through the holes you can see fairies.
