  • Condition: Skates are white leather but show age...did not attempt to polish. All seams appear tight...no holes or torn areas. Blades are secure but some rust at bottom. These skates are probably from the 1950's and may be still usable to skate but could also be used for wall or porch vintage winter decoration. All lacing eyelets are secure. The shoelaces are very brittle. Brand name on blade is "Gillbergs" Made in Sweden -number 8 on sole of boot, number 9 2/3 on metal blade as well as M-55.

    Description

    Pair of Ladies Vintage White Leather Ice Skates/Figure Skates... Brand: "Gillberg's", Made in Sweden.  Number "8" is on bottom of shoe...assuming that is the size. Blade has numbers 9 2/3 and M-55 engraved. Has "toe pick" for figure skating. Leather is in fair shape for its age but needs white shoe polish, lots of gray coloring...is rather stiff and hard to the touch. Length of blade is approx. 11.25".  Length of shoe (boot) is approx. 10.5". Shoe laces are brittle.
    These vintage skates may be usable for figure skating but could also be part of winter decor/display on a door or porch.
