A proper follow plug make the job of rekeying locks much easier. Choose from these 5 high quality locksmith follow plugs for most of your rekeying jobs. The Universal follow plug works on most brands of residential and commercial locks. Weslock is specifically designed to fit the back of knobs and levers, and is slightly larger diameter, for a gap-less fit, but it won't fit most other brands.  Kwikset has a slightly tapered inner edge on one end, to fit over their keylock plugs. The Schlage "F" & "B" series follower is specially made with an end that fits over the oval ends of Schlage Residential knobs and levers, as well as deadbolts and most Schlage Commercial locks. The J series follower is hollow for Schlage's J series, and works well for most import deadbolts too. Of the 5, this is the one I use on any lock that doesn't require a special end to fit over the back of the plug. Please note, these do not fit smaller diameter plugs, such as most of the smaller padlocks.
