he set  comes to you in a repurposed wooden cigar box.
Box is 11" by 6" by 2" high. It has a decoupaged print on the top,
and a decoupaged print on the underside of the box.
A heavy cotton cloth inside. Raw edges.
Elder Futhark Runes Set of 24 ..
The 4" long - 1/2" diameter,  staves are weathered dry maple .
The designs are  hand burned and  painted .
Lakota colors were used.
The 24 piece set is made up of three sets of  "aett".
The red and black rings on them define the sets.
The paper included has the divination meanings of each symbol.
I read many books on runes.
Ralph Blum has authored  several very good rune reference books.
In one I saw an article about  a discussion he had with  Joan Halifax.
Joan is a teacher of the Medicine Wheel.
The similarities are unmistakable . The ceremony" Wheel of Initiation"
using the Futhark is related to the Medicine Wheel.
These runes are a great study ..
The "aetts" study  gets into advanced divination.
It is only they that use them , that realize the combinations
and depth of  the meanings .
Back when "spelling" was an alphabet and a verbal language.
It was words spoken that caused energy , and if well stated
could be directed to incident ."

It is for protection at altar or when  hung in a certain space.
It can also be used to "hush" ones  enemies.
It is a fetish. You can talk to it as you decorate it..( there is something about painting its toe nails )
