We saw another seller point this out in their listings so we're adding it too. In the paper instructions FIREBIRD states that after filling you need to turn the butane all the way down and then slowly turn it up little by little until it lights and then do any final adjustments. Every lighter returned to us as defective has worked perfectly when adjusted this way. Any lighter returned to us as defective that works when we adjust it we be charged a restocking fee.
IMPORTANT CONTACT INFO: Since November 2019 we have been trying to update our ebay email address.  Despite numerous phone calls to ebay support we've always been told "we are aware of it and are working it."  But nothing ever gets fixed.  As of November 2020 we no longer have access to the old email address and are not getting instant updates to our computers.  We are checking messages within the ebay system but there will be extra time since checking messages now requires logging into ebay rather than a desktop PC email notifier.  If you work for ebay or know a ebay tech person or ebay executive please pass along our predicament.
