CONDITION : Good. Used.
There are natural cracks of glaze that occurred at the time of baking. But it is not a problem at all.
AGE : Over 200 yeas ago. It is the middle Japanese Edo Period.
This is the old original. This is never an imitation.
MATERIAL : Blue-and-white porcelain of Imari-yaki of KO-IMARI.
IMARI-yaki is a general term of porcelain that has been produced in the Hizen area centered onthe current Saga Prefecture. It has a long history. Origin is a 17 century. And it is also famous as the birthplace of Japanese porcelain.
About KO-IMARI (real old Imari). Typically, Imari over the middle of the 18th century is KO-IMARI. It has an unique atmosphere and work that is not in general Imari. And it is precious because it is very rare.
