    Description

    19.5" Handmade painted Trojan War Chess Set with matching Chess Board
    In the production of our Trojan War Pearlescent patterned chess board we use premium quality 12 mm and 4 mm MDF. The design transferred to the chess board is applied with 3 layers of varnish in order to protect the surface and provide durability. Later 3 layers of glossy polyurethane varnish are applied again to finish the backgammon surface. The pearlescent chess board is painted in suitable colors and with varnish to finish the surface. The board is not inlaid.
    The chess pieces are made of polyester and hand painted. The chess pieces are weighted and felted to provide smooth play.
    Optional Handmade Checkers are made of Boxwood (Buxus Sempervirens). Slow growth of Boxwood renders the wood very hard, heavy, and with fine grain produced by growth rings, making it ideal for chess pieces and checkers. Boxwood does not contain bacteria.
