Antique Meiji Japanese Kutani porcelain Plate Cobalt Blue Gold Moriage Mother & Son
Selling a PAIR, both plates are nice, no chips or cracks,
any lightness is due to my camera flash / light reflections
I believe this plate dates from 1830-1880
Beautiful fine quality Japanese porcelain plate
Very old piece Meiji period or older
Measures  7-3/8 inches approx
Has gold Japanese mark over rusty red on back
Any info on the mark is appreciated
The plate is literally covered in hand painted enamels
Gilt in gold,  featuring butterflies, peony flowers, celebration of spring
Has portrait of mother and son in traditional garden setting and
botanicals in the other portrait with a garland of butterflies in between
No chips or cracks, beautiful cobalt blue with gold accents
