Bleeding heart tomahawk with silver wire.

Description

Traditional bleeding heart tomahawk. It is an iron head with a hardened edge, border engraving, and a bleeding heart piercing.  This was a common trade hawk and used throughout North America.  The edge is fairly dull but I will sharpen it upon request.  There are many legends surrounding the cut out, here is one,
"Some say that there was a great warrior born in the Oconaluftee village deep in the Smokey mountains. His mother, knowing of his future greatness, took the iron heart form her fathers axe and placed it over her own sons heart. The child grew into a fierce warrior, and no matter what struck him in his heart he was protected by the iron."
The handle is 19 inches of Ash. It is decorated with a silver wire wrap, antique pewter tacks, and buckskin. See pics for details and thanks for looking.
