Antique Meiji Blue & White Arita 12" Charger Plate Aoki Brothers Mark. This beautiful charger displays large peonies shadowed by a cherry tree with blossoms  and a bird flying amongst the foliage. It is in really good shape considering its age. There are light scratches on the surface from use. There is a small chip at the base, and a spot with no glaze on the bottom of the rim (not visible from the top). There are two brown lines, one small one on the base and a larger one that goes from the base to the rim on the bottom. It's hard to tell if it's just discoloration or a hairline fracture. I do not feel anything and the plate still seems to have all of its integrity. The plate is marked with the Aoki Kyodai-Shokai (Aoki Brothers Company). Measures approximately 12.125 in diameter.
