Antique Japanese katagami stencil for dyeing kimono fabric. Hand cut from mulberry paper with extraordinary detail. Reinforced with cross weave of fine silk thread (as seen in detail pics). 19th century. 12 1/4" high, 17 3/8" wide overall.
